Monsignor Cronin is Vicar General of the Diocese of Auckland and Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Parish in Ponsonby and administrator of St Joseph’s in Grey Lynn and Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Herne Bay.
He has been the Spiritual Adviser to the Eucharistic Convention from the beginning, and much if its success can be traced to his wise guidance and steadfast commitment.
Before retiring from the military in
1984, he was pastoral administrator for 24 chaplains of different faiths.
He is the only Catholic to have ever held the military’s top chaplaincy position.
